Hi, I’m Ava
Meet the pioneer reshaping Pilates and group fitness with a clear vision and a global community driving real change.
Ava Rodriguez is a Movement Specialist, international presenter, educator, and teacher of teachers, known for delivering cutting-edge education to movement professionals worldwide.
Through her globally multi-accredited M.F.A. certification, Ava equips instructors with practical, plug-and-play tools to stop modifying around pain and start solving it. No more guesswork—just a clear checklist and roadmap to pinpoint the root cause and transform it.
Recognised as a pioneer in movement education, her M.F.A. community sees her as changing the game for Pilates, barre, and fitness professionals.
Her expertise? Making movement science and joint strengthening practical, applicable, and truly transformative.
Ava has spent her career pursuing the best from every system, method, and corner of movement science, not to collect certifications, but to connect the dots others miss.
Because when we grow older, we don’t replace muscles; we replace joints—unless we understand how to train them to last.
Her journey began with clinical Pilates under Alan Herdman, but it didn’t stop there. Nearly two decades later, her expertise spans Level 4 Strength and Conditioning, manual therapy, movement screening specialist, joint mobility specialist, and fascia science, seeking out knowledge from the places where innovation happens first.
Her ability to connect the dots others miss has made her a sought-after educator, leading her to present at major industry conventions worldwide and train hundreds of instructors across the globe. She provides education to Pilates Method Alliance (PMA), STOTT Pilates, and BASI, shaping the next generation of movement professionals
At the core of her work is a simple but powerful philosophy: movement isn’t just something we do—it’s something we should be able to do for life. And that only happens when we train joints to last.
“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”

Focus & Philosophy
I strongly believe that for true democracy to flourish, a majority of individuals must have access to similar education and knowledge. This is why, I am dedicated to sharing authentic information. Science is my guiding principle, and I don’t adopt ideas that can’t withstand rigorous scrutiny. I’m a free spirit with loyalty to logic and rationality. The world is my home, and as an educator, I hold myself responsible for continually learning and evolving so that I can add the most value to my community.
